‘Release after receipt of order copy’

BANGALORE: The Bangalore Central Prison authorities have said they will not release Gowrishankar Swamiji till they receive copy of the Supreme Court order.

Chief Superintendent of Bangalore Central Prison M.C. Vishwanathaiah told The Hindu that Gowrishankar Swamiji would be released only after they get the original copy of the order. “There is no question of releasing him on production of copy of the order sent by fax,” he said.

Gowrishankar Swamiji has been in the Central Prison since 2002 after he was convicted by the Karnataka High Court.
