Literary meet on Saturday

MANGALORE: The Mangalore University Postgraduate Old Students’ Association will hold its fourth university-level students’ literary meet at Sharada Vidyalaya here on Saturday. Rajesh Padmar, president of the association, told presspersons here on Wednesday that postgraduate and graduate students of the university from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Kodagu and Kasargod districts will participate in the daylong meet.

Na. D’Souza, writer will inaugurate the meet. Activities planned for the meet include essays on various topics written by select students. Shivaram Shetty, faculty, Department of Kannada, Mangalore University, will judge the essays. Select students will also present their stories. Rajalakshmi Kodibettu, journalist from Bangalore, will judge the stories.

This will be followed by a “kavighosti” where 15 upcoming poets will present their work.
