Former Commissioner, ACP attend probe

HYDERABAD: Former City Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh and the Mirchowk ACP Ashok Kumar Singh attended the ongoing probe into the police firing after the blast in Mecca Masjid by Justice V. Bhaskar Rao Commission on Wednesday.

Mr. Singh, requested the Commission to record his statement after sending away the scribes. The Commission accepted his request and conducted the hearing after sending out the mediapersons from the hall. Later, the statement of Mirchowk ACP was also recorded. Replying to a question, the former Commissioner maintained that rubber bullets were used initially during the police firing at Mecca Masjid.
