SIET gears up to help students face exams

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Institute of Educational Technology (SIET) has prepared new CDs for this year’s engineering entrance examination. Named Top Winner, the CD kit contains questions and answers based on the entrance test model.

Top Winner will be available for sale through the CD Mart at the Science and Technology Museum here.

The kit comprising 25 CDs includes questions and answers of the engineering entrance examination held in 2005- ’06 and entrance model examination conducted by SIET in 2007. It will be available from the CD Mart at a price of Rs.1,000.

A pressnote issued by SIET said a Top Winner CD kit for the medical entrance examination was already available for Rs.800. Students can also purchase the CDs through post by paying the price of the kit along with Rs.100 for courier charges. Details are available at the SIET office, Vazhuthacaud.

SIET has also tied up with Doordarshan for a special three-week education programme targeting students appearing for the SSLC examination 2008. Featuring questions likely to figure in the examination, the programme will be aired every day from 6.30 a.m. to 7 a.m. up to March 27 on the terrestrial channel of Doordarsan.

On the days of the SSLC examination, teachers will discuss the model papers on the programme.
