Garib Rath to be flagged off today

BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister of State for Railways R. Velu will flag off the Bhubaneswar-Ranchi Garib Rath Express at Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Friday.

This would be the first Garib Rath, which will operate from the State. The Garib Rath would touch major stations such as Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Talcher Road, Angul, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda and Rourkela before entering into neighbouring Jharkhand State. The fare will be Rs. 185 to travel both Cuttack and Dhenkanal in the AC compartments. For Talcher Road and Angul, the fare will be Rs. 209 and Rs. 290 for Sambalpur city. For Jharsuguda and Rourkela, the fare has been fixed at Rs 312 and Rs 356 respectively. Orissa Minister of Rural Development Biswabhusan Harichandan and MP Prasanna Patsani, BJD RS Member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, Congress RS Member Radhakant Nayak and ECoR General Manager Ajay Kumar Goyal will be present.
