Two killed in mishap

Hoshiarpur: Two persons were killed when a Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) local train rammed into a three-wheeler at an unmanned railway crossing near Basiala in Garhshankar area of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as driver of three-wheeler Santokh Singh, a resident of Bhajlan and Kulwinder Lal, of Rasoolpur.

The sources said that the driver of the three-wheeler ignored the approaching passenger train and was crossing the track when the accident took place.
