CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted interim protection to the son of a former minister who has filed an anticipatory bail plea against his arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the Moga sex scandal case. The court granted limited protection till March 10 to Barjinder Singh, son of Punjab’s former Education Minister Tota Singh. His anticipatory bail plea will come up for hearing before a special CBI court on March 10. “This period of five days shall be deemed to be a notice to the respondents (the CBI and others), who shall thereafter appear with all necessary material against the petitioner to enable the special court to decide the matter,” the court held. -- PTI
