Angad sizzles

NEW DELHI: Angad Kalaan fired five goals to power Kingfisher First to a 9-2 victory over Army Polo and Riding Club (APRC)/Sahgal Stud in the Emaar MGF Sawai Man Singh Gold Vase eight-goal polo tournament at the Jaipur Polo ground here on Thursday.

Deepankar Sharma and Angad Singh scored two goals each for the winner. Only Lokendra Singh (2) was successful for the loser

In another match, Manupal Godara scored all the four goals as Jaipur Polo Company defeated 61st Cavalry four goals to 3 1/2. Atul Gupta, Navjit Sandhu and Ravi Rathore scored a goal each for the Cavalry team that started with a half-goal handicap advantage.

The semifinals will be played on Saturday after a day’s rest.
