Protest against proposed drinking water project
Correspondent
CHAMARAJANAGAR: Members of Da. Ra. Bendre Kannada Youth Association took out a procession here on Thursday urging the Tamil Nadu Government to drop its proposed drinking water project at Hogenakkal.
They staged a dharna at Bhuvaneshwari Circle in the city and raised slogans against the Tamil Nadu Government.
They criticised the Centre for its “step-motherly” attitude towards the State.
They said that the State and Union governments did not act though Kannada activists had been protesting against the proposed project for the past few days. The members criticised the MPs from the State and Ministers for not taking up the issue at the appropriate level.
