Airport will be history?

Will it remain or not? That’s the million dollar question. The fate of Begumpet airport continues to hang in balance even as the D-Day approaches for the new airport at Shamsabad to be inaugurated. While the GMR wants the existing airport to be shut down as per the agreement, support for the old airport to remain operational is growing. If cities like New York, Los Angeles and London have more than one airport why not Hyderabad? That’s the argument.

Many feel reaching to the new airport will take more time than the actual flying time to most destinations in the country.
