Rs.38 crore for airport land

PUDUCHERRY: The Planning Commission has allowed Rs.38 crore for acquisition of land for the Puducherry airport.

This was conveyed by Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia, in a letter to Lok Sabha Member and leader of the Pattali Makkal Katchi in Parliament M. Ramadass. “I am glad to inform you that in the allocation for the Airports Authority of India in the 11th Plan, Rs.38 crore had been provided for land acquisition for the airport,” he said.
