Pathankot: The Punjab Government has recommended the Centre to amend the forest laws to unlock almost 62,000 hectares of forest land which can be used for cultivation, a State Minister said here on Friday. Forest Minister Tikshan Sood said while the efforts were on to increase area under green cover in the State by 15 per cent, illegal felling of the trees will not be tolerated. — PTI
