History students hold seminar

MALAPPURAM: Historia, the fraternity of history students of Government College, Malappuram, held a seminar on the ‘Marginalised and history’ here on Friday.

District Collector M.C. Mohandas inaugurated the seminar, which marked the farewell to 12 teachers retiring this month.

K. Rajan from Victoria College, Palakkad, presented a paper on ‘Therukkoot tradition of Kerala’ and P.S. Manoj from Government College, Thrissur, on ‘Marginalisation and representation of Dalits in the cultural scenario of Kerala.’
