Chandigarh: The Punjab Election Commission on Friday announced that elections to gram panchayats, panchayat samitis and zila parishads in the State would be held on April 7. Detailed programme The detailed programme for the elections shall be issued separately, an official spokesman said here, adding that the Model Code of Conduct comes into force with immediate effect. — PTI
