Bhopal: A revenue inspector and a Patwari have been sentenced to one-and-a-half years of rigorous imprisonment by a special court in Indore for accepting a bribe of Rs.1,000 from a farmer in 2003. Revenue inspector Kriparam Solanki and Patwari Manoj Giradwal were caught red-handed by the Lokayukta police taking the bribe from farmer Anwar Khan for providing exact measurement of his agriculture land, an official release said on Friday. Later, a challan was produced in the court of Special judge Akhilesh Pandya by the prosecution following which they were awarded the sentence along with a fine of Rs.1,500.
