Ludhiana: In a reprieve for former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, a court here on Friday exempted him from personal appearance before it in connection with the multi-crore Ludhiana City Centre (LCC) scam, in which he is an accused. District and Sessions Judge G. K. R. Rai allowed Capt. Singh’s exemption from personal appearance on March 10 when the LCC case is fixed for hearing. In his application on March 5, Capt. Singh said he was to address the Assembly session on March 5 and 6. But due to Shivratri holidays, the Assembly session had been adjourned till March 10 and he intended to participate in the Assembly proceedings on that day. PTI
