Arogyasri to be launched on April 6

Beneficiaries to be identified during official team visit of all villages


Sangareddy: Arogya Sri, the State-sponsored health scheme for the poor would be launched in the district on April 6.

According to a press release here on Friday, Joint Collector Ramshankar Nayak who reviewed the preparations for the launch of the health scheme and the ‘Aam Admi Yojana’ with welfare and health officers said that the beneficiaries would be identified during the visit of the officials in all the villages from 15 to 20 of this month.

The intensity of ill health or disorder would be identified during 21 and 25 in all the primary health centres. The treatment would be recommended basing on the need, major health problems like heart disease, cancer, kidney and brain are covered under the scheme.

The visiting official teams will comprise mandal development officers, Tahasildars, supervisors of Welfare Department, principals of residential schools and officers from Health Department.

The Joint Collector then discussed on the implementation of the ‘Aam Admi Yojana’ with the Indira Kranthi Patham Project Director Srinivasa Baba.He asked the PD to prepare lists of the farm labourers who require insurance.

He also ordered the concerned officials to submit proposals for the rectification of lacunae found during the Sankshema Bata by people’s representatives on the 1st and 2nd of this month. DWMA Project Director Jagannadham, PD ICDS Sailaja, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Siva Reddy and district tribal welfare officer Chanchala Devi also attended the meeting.
