BERHAMPUR: Four hardcore naxalites trained in Chhattisgarh were arrested at Sankelguda village under Motu police station in Malkangiri district on Thursday night. They were nabbed during the combing operation in the area by the commandoes of the Special Operation Group (SOG) and other police personnel. It may be noted that security has been tightened in all naxal-prone areas of Orissa due to the ‘Discover India’ tour of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Orissa. He is expected to visit some naxal-infested areas of the State. Speaking to The Hindu over phone, Malkangiri SP S.K.Gajbhiye said they had intensified combing operation in the area since Wednesday following attack on a police jawan. These four were involved in the attack.
