Nagercoil: A Kerala State Roadways Transport Corporation conductor was arrested on the charge of misbehaving with an Israeli women tourist on Thursday.

According to sources, Surendaran, a father of two children, made obscene gestures to an Israeli tourist Renaud Allen (25) who had boarded the KSRTC bus to Kanyakumari from Thiruvananthapuram. When the tourist raised an alarm, fellow passengers rushed to her help. After alighting in Kanyakumari, she lodged a complaint against the conductor. She also alerted the Israeli embassy at New Delhi about the incident.

Meanwhile, based on a complaint lodged by the tourist, the Kanyakumari Deputy Superintended of Police, Stalin Michael, arrested the conductor. Later, he was produced before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody. The arrested person was a native of Kanjirankulam in Kerala.
