NSS allowed to implead in case

Kottayam; The Supreme Court has allowed the Nair Service Society to implead in the Indian Young Lawyers Vs State of Kerala case which concerns the entry of women aged between 10 and 50 to offer darshan at the Sri Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala, NSS assistant secretary G. Sukumaran Nair has said. The case had come before the Bench consisting of Justice S.B. Sinha and V.S. Sirpurkar. Counsel for the NSS argued that the NSS represented one-third of the State’s population and that the status quo in Sabarimala temple should continue.
