THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Three persons suffered serious burn injuries when a shed used for storing crackers inside Vedivechan Kovil temple caught fire on Friday afternoon. The injured are all temple officials. The police identified them as Vikraman, 63, Ramu, 63 and Santosh. They have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. The police said the accident occurred at around 2 p.m. Negligence on the part of those in charge of the cracker shed or the intense summer heat could have led to the accident. The police have registered a case in connection with the incident. Man killedA 62-year-old man, who was riding pillion on a motorbike driven by his son, was killed when the two-wheeler collided with a Kerala Road Transport Corporation bus at Karakulam on Friday. The police identified the deceased as Rajan Babu, a resident of Muthuvila. His son, Reju, escaped with a minor injury. The police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
