The secretary is the convener of a seven-member committee that looks into the day-to-day functioning of the university following the completion of tenure as Vice-Chancellor of P. According to Mr. Ganesan, the convener’s committee comprising of Syndicate members will take decisions on matters that are needed immediate attention till the appointment of the next Vice-Chancellor and “if needed, a meeting will be held to take decisions.” University sources said that the investigating agency had conducted an enquiry last week with engineers and some employees involved with civil/construction works. Also, the Principal of MKU College, Deans and Deputy Directors were questioned by the DVAC officials. Files related to the appointment of casual labourers, non-teaching staff, revenue-sharing collaboration with a Delhi-based management institute, Vice-Chancellor’s foreign visits, endowment activities, etc. had been obtained.
