BHUBANESWAR: Finance Minister P.C. Ghadei has assured the artists’ fraternity in the State to make necessary provisions in the budget next year for appointment of art teacher in the schools. He was apprised by a delegation of the newly-formed Orissa Art Foundation, led by Indu Bhusan Kar of the adverse impact of the abolition of the posts of drawing teachers in schools on art education, during the ‘Kalautsav’, an art exhibition, organised by the Baleswar College of Art and Craft. The State Government had abolished the posts on the plea of resource constraints.
