Chittoor TDP observes Women’s Day

Chittoor: World Women’s Day was observed here on Saturday by district Telugu Desam Party.

Speaking on the occasion Mahila State secretary described late N.T. Rama Rao as champion of women empowerment.

She said that the party has taken steps to reserve certain percentage of seats in the local bodies to women. TDP district president and MLA Amaranadha Reddy highlighted the various programmes introduced by former Chief Minister and TDP president Nara Chandrababu Naidu for women empowerment.

He said that the party was committed for the all round development of women.

Lakshmi Devamma, district Mahila president, and Y.V. Rajeswari, district vice-president were among others who participated in the programme.
