PUDUCHERRY: Chief Judge D. Krishnaraja on Friday directed the Vigilance Department to produce the status report on the investigation into the case against Health Minister E. Valsaraj on April 8. Mr. Krishnaraja, who is also special judge for Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, granted extension to the investigating agency following an appeal made by Vigilance Public Prosecutor Singaravelou. Last month, the court had directed the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Union Territory to inquire into the alleged financial irregularities in the functioning of the Mahe Co-operative Centre for Information Technology Limited and submit the report on March 7. The court issued orders based on a complaint filed by Valavil Sudhakaran, a former Congress leader.
