NEW DELHI: Four policemen were beaten up in different parts of the Capital over the weekend when they intercepted errant motorists during routine checks.

In the first incident, traffic police Head Constable Sanjeev and Constable Narender spotted a man driving a Skoda car on the wrong side on the Moti Nagar-Bali Nagar section of Najafgarh Road. The two chased him on their motorcycle. However, he fled in his car. The police personnel then followed him up to his house in Bali Nagar. There the accused, later identified as Kapil Kumar, got into a scuffle with them and allegedly tore off their challan book. He then also allegedly beat them up.
