Kendrapara: Three local Congress leaders were arrested for allegedly providing shelter to a gangster connected with a criminal group, police said on Tuesday. Following the arrest on Friday, Congressmen staged a dharna in front of the local police station here terming it “arbitrary and politically motivated.” They accused the police of toeing the political line and claimed that their leaders were innocent. The arrested leaders were Manas Samal, Gyana Ranjan Mohanty and Uma Shankar Jena. PTI
