Thiruvananthapuram
Thiruvananthapuram: The Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Organisation of India has expressed deep concern at the spurt in prices of materials used for making Ayurvedic medicines. D. Ramanathan, general secretary of the organisation, Raman Bhattathiripad of Vaidyamatom, and others said here on Friday that the price of gingelly oil, molasses and medicinal plants had gone up by 50 to 100 per cent. Under these circumstances they had no other alternative but to increase the prices of medicines, though it would affect the common man. — Special Correspondent
