Street children protest

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A large number of street children and those involved in domestic labour gathered at Bal Bhavan here on Saturday to highlight problems they face on a daily basis like substance abuse and sexual abuse. They demanded that the Government come up with solutions to their problems in coordination with NGOs working in the area. Organised by two NGOs, Badhte Kadam and Chetna, the “maha adhiveshan” (mega meet) saw several children shout slogans against “insensitive policies” of the Government.
