BANGALORE: The science of management has a major role to play in the nation-building process, Union Minister of State for Planning M.V. Rajashekharan has said.

He was speaking at an annual prize and award presentation to students of the Regional Institute of Cooperative Management on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of the late R. Gundu Rao here on Saturday.

Mr. Rajashekheran said that an estimated five per cent of the country’s population below 25 were competitive. Although their areas of interest were different, they had a collective responsibility in the larger interests of the country. Management was one such vital area, he added.
