BBMP jurisdiction

BANGALoRE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has proposed to extend its jurisdiction up to the Devanahalli airport.

It is learnt that BBMP Commissioner S. Subramanya has placed a proposal to extend its jurisdiction since the area around the airport is likely to witness large-scale growth which panchayats cannot handle.

The Bangalore City Police have also sought extension of their jurisdiction up to the airport in Devanahalli.
