JGCC, Nehru College in final

HUBLI: JG Commerce College (JGCC) and Nehru College of Hubli entered the final of the Karnatak University inter-collegiate cricket tournament here.

In the semifinals played on Saturday, JG Commerce defeated Oxford College by 114 runs, while Nehru College beat Kanakadasa College by nine wickets.

The scores: JG Commerce College 231 in 39 overs (D. Santosh 78, Vinay four for 40) bt Oxford College 117 in 28 overs.

Kanakadasa College 78 in 25.3 overs lost to Nehru College 80 for one in 8.1 overs (Dominique Fernandez 52 not out). — Staff Correspondent
