‘Access to information in an era of globalisation vital for good governance’ HYDERABAD: A two-day global conference on ‘Good governance, communication & media strategies’ got off to a start on Saturday with former director, Information & Public Relations and Editor, ‘PR Voice’, C.V. Narasimha Reddi mooting the idea of having a national policy on communication. Dr. Reddi was addressing the conference in the presence of Labour Minister G. Vinod who participated as the chief guest at the inaugural. The Minister’s wife Rama Devi too was present. Earlier Atluri Subba Rao, president, FAPCCI, said access to information in an era of globalisation was vital for good governance. The media globally had crossed a turnover of US $ 400 million recently and continued to be a high growth sector, he said. Among those who spoke were A. Chandrasekhara Reddy, Press Secretary to Chief Minister. The two-day conference is being organised by FAPCCI and Global Forum for Public Relations with considerable involvement from the Brahmakumaris. Earlier, Rajyogini Kuldeep Behnji, director, Shantisarovar, Brahmakumaris here took the gathering through an exercise for meditation and inspiration.
