Veteran legal journalist dead
NEW DELHI: Veteran legal journalist A. K. Singh passed away on Saturday. He is survived by his sister, Raka. The septuagenarian Mr. Singh, who began his journalistic career with “Leader” of Allahabad, had also worked for “The National Herald”. An ardent socialist and a follower of Lohia, he joined United News of India in mid-1980s and had been in service since.Till the very last, Mr. Singh was actively engaged in journalism. On Friday too he had covered the proceedings at the Supreme Court and his last report was on the Prof. Sabharwal murder case being transferred to Maharashtra.
He passed away suddenly at his Dilshad Garden home on Saturday morning. He was cremated at Nigam Bodh Ghat in the afternoon.
