One dead after consuming soft drink

NEW DELHI: A young businessman died and three persons fell unconscious allegedly after consuming an adulterated carbonated drink purchased from a general store at Seelampur here over the weekend. According to the police, Kamruddin along with his friends Iqbal and Isfaq went to a general store in Chauhan Bangar and bought three bottles of the carbonated drink. Kamruddin took a few sips and found the taste “a bit strange”. Then he felt giddy and told his friends about it. His friends and the shopkeeper took sips from his bottle and turned unconscious. The four were taken to Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Hospital where Kamruddin was declared brought dead.
