Arrested on harassment charge

BANGALORE: D. Krishnappa, former Special Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore Urban, was arrested on Saturday on charges of harassing his wife and threatening her life.

According to a senior police officer, Mr. Krishnappa’s wife Padmavati on Saturday lodged a complaint that her husband barged into her house in Sadashivanagar and hit her.

He threatened her and went away with some property documents.

Acting on the complaint, the Sadashivanagar police arrested him.
