NSS call to end violence

KOTTAYAM: The Nair Service Society (NSS) has asked the State government to take the initiative in seeking the cooperation of the political parties concerned and people at large, to bring back peace in Kannur.

In a statement issued here, NSS general secretary P.K. Narayana Panicker said the killings were taking place in the home district of the Home Minister and hence, he should be aware of the background of these incidents. The State government had the responsibility to ensure that such incidents were not repeated but violence and murders were continuing , Mr. Panicker said. — Staff Reporter
