Kannur: The government has asked political parties “to help restore normality” in the district. “The government wants to involve all political parties concerned to restore normality ,” Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said on Saturday night. Mr. Balakrishnan, who reached here from Delhi, held talks with top police officials. The Minister, who was scheduled to hold talks with CPI(M) and BJP-RSS leadership, said that the latter expressed their inability to join talks tonight and added that the talks would be held on Sunday. — PTI
