Employment-oriented training for Adi-dravidars and Scheduled Tribes

Krishnagiri: The Tamil Nadu Adi-dravidar and Housing Development Corporation (TAHDCO) has proposed to impart employment oriented training to men and women from Adi-dravidar and Scheduled Tribe communities.
Those keen on undergoing the training could send the applications in person to the office of the Manager of TAHDCO situated within the Krishnagiri Collectorate.
The training programmes were being offered for free during the 2008 - 09 fiscal and the candidates should possess the requisite qualification. The candidates should bring relevant certificates pertaining to educational qualification, community and income and be prepared for an interview. The annual income of candidate’s family seeking training should not exceed Rs.18,480 for those in rural areas and Rs.28,595 for those in urban areas.
The training will be provided for men and women in the 18 to 35 year age group on hotel management, computer training and nursing assistant. A stipend of Rs.400 per month would be provided to candidates during the training period according to a release.
