CPI (M) activists on Sunday protesting the attack on their party headquarters in New Delhi. PUDUCHERRY: Members and functionaries of the Puducherry unit of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Sunday staged a demonstration protesting against the attack on their party headquarters in New Delhi, allegedly by activists of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Led by secretary of the Puducherry unit of the CPI (M) V. Perumal, State committee member T. Murugan and secretariat member of the local unit R. Rajangam, the party activists raised slogans “flaying the violence let loose by the RSS men.” They urged the Central and State governments “not to allow such atrocities of the communal forces.” Addressing the activists, Mr. Perumal said CPI (M) offices and party leaders had been targeted as the party had been in the forefront of the struggle to keep the communal forces out of power.
