Janata Dal (Secular) flays attack

Staff Reporter

Kozhiode: Janata Dal (Secular) State president M.P. Veerendrakumar, MP, has condemned the attack allegedly carried out Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists on the A.K. Gopalan Bhavan, the national headquarters of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), in New Delhi.

The attack took place when the meeting of the Central committee of the party was in progress. A few members were injured in the incident. Damage was also done to property, Mr. Veerendrakumar said in a statement here on Sunday.

He demanded that the police take action against the culprits involved in the rampage. The violence in Kannur was also condemnable.

The issue should be settled between the two political parties as soon as possible, Mr. Veerendrakumar said.
