BERHAMPUR: Binay Katiyar and BJP leaders of Orissa lambasted the ‘Discover India’ tour of Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi in Orissa at the ‘Sankalp Abhiyan’ rally of the party in the city on Sunday. The BJP rally was coincided with the youth and farmers’ rally of the Congress in the city which was attended by Mr. Gandhi. The BJP organised its rally at the Khallikote autonomous college stadium. It was attended by BJP Ministers -- Biswabhusan Harichandan, Surama Padhi and Golak Nayak, party State president Suresh Pujari and vice-president Prithviraj Harichandan. Mr. Katiyar was too acrid in his remarks towards the leaders of the Congress, who according to him were competing to show their grades of sycophancy before a youth. He and other leaders of the BJP criticised the dynastic politics continuing in the Congress. The BJP leaders were also in campaign mood although the elections were yet to be announced for Orissa. Mr. Katiyar declared that if the NDA comes back to power at the Centre, three acres of land would be allotted to all landless tribal families in the country and efforts would be made to end exploitation of farmers at the hands of private money lenders.
