Doctor of Science degree for scientist

NEW DELHI: Eminent scientist C.N.R. Rao has been conferred the degree of Doctor of Science by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

Prof. Rao gave a special lecture on “Doing Science in India” at the University campus over the weekend. He has published around 1,400 research papers and 37 books in various fields. IGNOU Vice-Chancellor V.N. Rajsekharan Pillai was also present on the occasion.
