SHIMLA: Top-level government delegations of Himachal and Punjab Governments led by the Chief Ministers of the two States met on Sunday to discuss and resolve some outstanding inter-State issues, said an official spokesman here. He said the Chief Ministers, who met at Chandigarh, have agreed to explore and enter into joint ventures beneficial for both the States. He said, it was agreed to in principle to construct the Chandigarh-Baddi road on priority basis and complete the same by June, 2009. AirportIt was also agreed to connect Baddi industrial area in Himachal with the upcoming International Airport at Mohali near Chandigarh. It was mutually agreed in principle to hold joint meeting of the senior officers of both the States with the Planning Commission of India to obtain its approval over revised estimates for the completion of the Shah Nehar project, in district Kangra, which had been pending completion since many years. Talks were also held on issues of power, composite fee levied on entry of taxis and construction of ropeways, said the spokesman.
