‘Ensure speedy justice to needy’

In focus: Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh Anil R. Dave addressing the Centenary of District Court and Bar Association in Kurnool on Sunday.

KURNOOL: Chief Justice of AP High Court Justice Anil R. Dave called upon advocates to provide speedy justice to the poor and needy. Addressing the Centenary of District Court and Bar Association here on Sunday, he said the Kurnool Bar produced stalwarts in politics and legal fields.

He said completion of 100 years was an occasion to celebrate but the contribution of the institution in the last years was some thing to cherish.

The Kurnool Bar produced two chief ministers, a number of MPs, MLAs and a dozen eminent legal luminaries.

Ch. Surya Rao, portfolio judge of Kurnool district, described centenary as an important milestone in the history of Kurnool District Court. Another Judge of High Court Seshasayana Reddy who hailed from Kurnool said he was proud to be born here.
