Call for efforts to avert nuclear war

KADAPA: All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) district president Takkoli Machi Reddy said on Sunday that it is the bounden duty of every citizen across the globe to avert a nuclear war.

Addressing a seminar at Zilla Parishad meeting hall here on `Challenges to global peace’, he said the US gave up its attempts to launch an aggression against Vietnam owing to overwhelming public opinion. Organisation’s State general secretary K Prabhakar Rao said the destruction caused in the Second World War was an eye-opener to people and the United Nations member-nations paid attention to restore peace in the world.
