He made a representation last month Sought Collector’s intervention
SIVAKASI: Sivakasi MP A. Ravichandran went on a protest walk from M. Pudupatti to Erichanatham demanding the immediate repair of the highway stretch between Sengamalanachiyarpuram and Erichanatham.
Last month, the MDMK MP had made a representation to the Collector, seeking his intervention in repairing the road. On February 28, Virudhunagar MLA R. Varadarajan and Srivilliputtur MLA T. Ramasamy participated in a road blockade along with villagers to press for the same demand.
The administration promised to look into it at the earliest.
Mr. Varadarajan flagged off the procession in which over 150 partymen and locals participated. It wound its way through Kalayarkurichi, Sithamanayackanpatti, Pudukottai, Sevalur, Krishnamanayakkanpatti and Kumizhankulam. Party district secretary R.M. Shanmugasundaram received the MP at Erichanatham.
