NMAMIT pips MIT

MANGALORE: NMAMIT (Nitte) scored a thrilling one-run win over MIT (Manipal) in the lone Twenty20 fixture played for the Ace Surgical Cup at the Nehru Maidan here on Sunday.

Chasing 155 for a win, MIT came agonisingly close, before finishing at 153 for the loss of six wickets.

Batting first, NMAMIT piled up 154 from its quota of overs.

The scores: NMAMIT 154 for nine in 20 overs (Sumith 33, Manjunath 19 n.o., Vybhav Garg two for 10, Romesh Singh two for 24) beat MIT 153 for six in 20 overs (Anubhav Sharma 40, Siddharth Khurana 37, Sumith three for 39). — Staff Correspondent
