MANGALORE: Students of MSWork, St. Aloysius College, have come across 28 malaria cases from among 50 houses they surveyed in Hoigebazar area here. The Mangalore City Corporation records show that 56 malaria cases were detected in the last 14 days. The teacher, who is guiding the MSW students, said there was no accuracy in the data of the corporation. According to the data available with the corporation, Bejai tops the list with about 200 confirmed cases malaria infection between January and September 2007. A senior health official, on the condition of anonymity, said that the data collection system was not proper. The District Health Officer, H. Jagannath, said he would investigate the matter.
