Constable killed in road accident

NEW DELHI: A 33-year-old Delhi police constable died after his motorcycle was hit by some unknown vehicle at Dhaula Kuan here on Saturday night.

According to the police, the accident took place around 10-30 p.m. when Ramdin was on his way to join duty at the Karol Bagh police station. Near a traffic signal on Station Road, some unidentified vehicle hit his motorcycle. Ramdin was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The police have registered a case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving and are making efforts to identify the vehicle involved.
